A NAKIRI is a Japanese vegetable knife that is similar to a cleaver, but it has a thinner blade and is lighter in weight. It is typically used for precision slicing and dicing of lots of fruits or vegetables. We wouldn't recommend our Nakiri knives to be used for smashing cloves of garlic.
