I start getting Kyocera knifes becouse the good reputation, and since demostred to me good quality, I choose to have the rigth tools to keep it on great condition, all my family come to used!

I have really liked the quality of the products I have gotten from Kyocera. Pans, peelers, knives, slicers, and pens are all great. So I bought a few of these to give to my family that I had previously gifted Kyocera knives to, but when I tried it myself I found that for most of my knives I can't sharpen the inch closest to the handle unless it sticks out from the handle like the santoku or chef knives. It is easy to use and works on both ceramic and steel, but I was disappointed enough that I didn't end up giving them to my family members.

I ordered this to sharpen all my knives whether steel or ceramic.  Easy to use and convenient.  Does the job well and very quickly.  However, I haven't had to use it much for the all the Kyocera ceramic knives I have as the edge lasts so long!

If you looking for a tool to keep your knifes in good shape, this is the one, easy to use, no complains keep my knife in great condition!

Every time I try to use this sharpener, I get frustrated. It has very little power. The grinding wheel almost stops, even with new batteries.
Device should have a AC adapter, to help eliminate this problem, but one is not available.
Also unable to sharpen the full blade on some knives due to poor design of guards.
It does sharpen blades or portions of, but not worth the effort.
Save your money. Buy a different sharpener.
