I got the chance to use this at our demo day and it tore through the block of Parmesan cheese like it had insulted its mother.  The tool is balanced so that a very minimal amount of pressure is required to make uniform pieces of whatever the target is.  The handle is easy to grip and gives the user confidence that they will not grate their knuckles, or even come close.  The weight of the grater makes it feel like finely engineered, technical marvel that it is.

I've used this grate for making homemade lemon zest pasta sauces, and lime zest for food toppings. Also great for fresh ginger paste(do a hole root and store the rest in the fridge!).  It saves you money when you buy the fresh ingredients and do the work yourself.  And since this grater is is ceramic, you don't have to worry about the metallic graters rusting or sharing a metallic taste in your food.

I enjoy using this greater and it would never replace it.
